Coker Men’s Golf in Twelfth After Day One at Matt Dyas Invitational

CAROLLTON, Ga. – The Coker College men's golf team finds itself in twelfth place after day one of the Matt Dyas Invitational. The Cobras shot team rounds of 302 and 300 in route to a 36-hole total of 602 (+26).

Will Bundy continued his stellar play he has shown throughout the fall with rounds of 73 and 71 on day one. Bundy's total of 144 (E) through 36 holes puts him a tie for thirteenth individually. John Duke and Jonathan Sundstrom were next with 36-hole scores of 152 (+8) and 153 (+9). Duke shot rounds of 77 and 75, while Sundstrom came in with scores of 74 and 79. Blake Baysden and Alex Rios rounded out the starting five with day one totals of 157 (+13). Baysden signed off with rounds of 78 and 79, Rios came back with an afternoon 75 after shooting an 82 in the morning wave.

Host West Georgia shot rounds of 278 and 284 on the Oak Mountain Championship Golf Club for a day one team score of 562 (-14). Delta State's Reed Lindsey shot back-to-back rounds of 67 for an individual total of 134 (-10) and a spot atop the individual leaderboard.

Tee times for the final round will begin tomorrow morning at the Oak Mountain Championship Golf Club in Carrollton, Ga.
