Men's Golf Finish Seventh at SAC Championship

SEVIERVILLE, TENN. – The Coker men's golf team finished seventh at the 2014 Food Lion SAC Golf Championship on Tuesday (Apr. 15), with a three round team total of 950.

Freezing rain and damp weather conditions made the Sevierville Golf Club River Course a difficult task for the Coker men, who finished their final day with a team score of 330.

Josh Clay paced the Cobras throughout the tournament with a total score of 234, and a final round score of 85.  Clay's score landed him in 15th place on the individual leader board.  Will Bundy finished with a third round score of 82, which led him to a total of 235 for the tournament.  Bundy's 235 was also good enough for a top-20 individual finish, as he earned the 18th spot.  Christopher Fuga had the best day three score with a 77 and finished with a 238 total.  Zane Price and Blake Baysden each finished with scores of 86 on day three, with Price finishing at 243 and Baysden a 252 for the tournament.

Carson-Newman took home the first place team title with a score of 925.  Ben Gebhardt earned the individual title, with a three-day score of 216.
