Coker Golf Captures Third at Richard Rendleman Invitational

SALISBURY, N.C. – The Coker men's golf team earned a third place finish (of 18) at the Richard Rendleman Invitational on Tuesday (Mar. 4) after shooting a two round team total of 600.

Josh Clay led the Cobras with 36-hole total of 144.  His score was good enough to earn him a third place finish for individual stroke play.  Christopher Fuga came in next for Coker with a score of 148, which was tied for 11th place individually.  Will Bundy and Blake Baysden shot 154 and 155 respectively, while Zane Price rounded out the field with a 157. 

Coker was just barely edged out by UNC Pembroke and Limestone who both finished with team scores of 598.  Limestone would eventually go on to win the tiebreaker, and earn a first place finish for the tournament. 

For their next competition, the Navy and Yellow will travel to Greenwood, S.C. on March, 24 to compete in the Bearcat Golf Classic.
