Coker Men’s Golf in 16th after Day One

POOLER, GA. – After 36 holes on day one of the Armstrong Pirate Invitational the Coker men's golf team finds themselves in 16th place shooting a 619 two round total.  With a first round total of 313, the Cobras improved by shooting 306 in the afternoon.

Senior Josh Clay set the pace for the Navy and Yellow by firing a two round total of 150 (75, 75). Clay finds himself in a tie for 39th overall.  Junior Christopher Fuga was next for the Cobras firing a two round total of 154 (81, 73). Freshman Will Bundy shot 157 (78, 79), while sophomore Blake Baysden came in shooting 158 (79, 79). Rounding out the lineup was junior Zane Price with a two round total of 164 (82, 82).

Nova Southeastern University is currently in first after shooting a team total of 567 (-1).  Host team Armstrong Atlantic State University comes in at second after firing one over 569.

The Cobras begin their third round tomorrow morning at 8:00 a.m.
