Cobras Battle, Fall to USC Upstate in DI Test

SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- The Coker College men's basketball team fell to USC Upstate 89-69 in an interdivisional battle against the DI Spartans on Saturday (Dec. 29).

Chandler Lindsey, a freshman from nearby Spartanburg Day, scored a career-high 16 points on a perfect 7 of 7 shooting to lead four Cobras in double-figure scoring on the night. Larry Cooper scored 15 points, LaDarius Williams added 12, and Marquis Green chipped in 11 points, knocking down a pair of three-pointers for the Cobras.

Coker will be back in action next Saturday (Jan. 5) when they host the Anderson Trojans in a return to South Atlantic Conference action. Tipoff is set for 4 p.m. in the DeLoach Center.
