HARTSVILLE, S.C. - The fifth seeded Coker College men's basketball team will travel to Wingate to take on the No. 4 seeded Bulldogs Wednesday (Feb. 28) night in the South Atlantic Conference Quarterfinals at 8 p.m. The last appearance the Cobras made in the SAC Championships was back in the 2014-15 season.

The Navy and Gold last took the court on Saturday (Feb. 24) where they defeated Anderson 82-76 at the Abney Center. Marquis Green led the Cobra scoring effort, knocking down a team-best 19 points, dishing out two assists, and adding five steals on the defensive end. Larry Cooper recorded his second double-double of the season with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Other Cobras making significant contributions on the offense end were Donte Samuels (15 points), Khalil Halls (14 points), and Jake Barrett (10 points).

Coker heads into tomorrow's game with three players averaging 13 or more points per game. Samuels leads Coker averaging 16.0 points per game. Halls is Coker's second leading scorer, accumulating 14.4 per game, while Barrett is the final Cobra averaging double-digit numbers with 13.5 per game. Samuels and Halls average points per game land them both in the top 20 in the SAC, ranking sixth and 16th, respectively.

On the defensive end, Samuels has led the Cobras with a team-leading 7.4 rebounds per game, while Barrett leads the Cobras with 1.9 steals per game, trailed by Samuels with 1.6 steals per game. Barrett's mark in steals comes in at fourth in the conference. As a team, the Cobras are fourth in steals in all of NCAA Division II with a total of 280 on the year.

Wingate enters tomorrow's contest with a 14-14 overall record that includes an 11-9 mark in SAC action. Zeriq Lolar leads the Bulldogs offensively, averaging 15.3 points per game.
