Coker Drops SAC Contest to No. 1 Lincoln Memorial

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's basketball team dropped a South Atlantic Contest to the visiting No. 1 Lincoln Memorial University Railsplitters 85-70 Saturday (Feb. 17) afternoon. 

The Cobras grabbed their third lead of the first half at the 3:21 mark when Marquis Green knocked down a trio of three-pointers to give the Cobras nine consecutive points for a 33-32 advantage. The Cobras kept the rest of the game competitive, but the Railsplitters continued to build on their lead for the victory. 

Donte Samuels led the Navy and Gold with 21 points, nine rebounds, two assists and two blocks. Green recorded 14 points off the bench, posting a 4-6 mark from three-point range. 

The Cobras will be back in action when they travel to Wingate on Wednesday (Feb. 21) for an 8 p.m. tip.
