Cobras Welcome Bears For Midweek SAC Matchup

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's basketball team will be back in the friendly confines of the DeLoach Center on Wednesday (Jan. 18) at 8 p.m. for a South Atlantic Conference matchup against the visiting Lenoir-Rhyne University Bears. JaQuez Motley and Jake Barrett lead the offensive attack for the Navy and Gold, averaging 13.8 and 11.8 points per game. Motley has scored in double figures in six of his last seven games, including 22 points against Carson-Newman last time out. Barrett has finished in double figures in his last three games, averaging just over 16 points per game during that span. Roman Hall, Nathan Lemke and Miguel Priest round out the Coker scoring attack, averaging 9.4, 9.3 and nine points per game. Lemke is also ranked tenth in the SAC, shooting 53.3 percent from the field.

The Cobras continue to be the top offensive rebounding team in the SAC, pulling down 14.6 per game. Coker also ranks second in steals per game, notching 10.1 steals per contest.

The Bears come into Hartsville with a 7-8 overall record and a 6-4 mark in the SAC. Reed Lucas leads a quartet of double-digit scorers for Lenoir-Rhyne, averaging 14.1 points per game.

Tip-off is slated for 8 p.m. at the DeLoach Center. Tickets for the game are $5 for adults, $3 for students and free to all Coker faculty, staff and students.
