HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's basketball team picked up a 78-61 non-conference win over the visiting Limestone College Saints on Wednesday night (Nov. 18) to move to a perfect 3-0 on the season.

The Navy and Gold were dominant from the opening tip using a 13-0 run in the first seven minutes to take an early lead. The stellar play on both ends of the floor would continue with the Cobras taking a commanding 37-19 lead into the locker rooms at the half.

The second half was much more fast-paced with both teams scoring over 40 points in the last twenty minutes. However, the Coker lead was never less than 16 points, allowing them to cruise to the 78-61 wire-to-wire victory.

Donte Samuels led all scorers with 21 points on 9-for-12 shooting. He also had five rebounds on the defensive end. Trey Marshall finished the game 7-for-9 from the field for 15 points, while the trio of Jalal Abdul-Azeez, Aubrey Daniel and Jalen Watson all had eight points. Watson also had a team-high 12 rebounds off the bench.

The Cobras will now hit the road for the four-game road trip beginning on Tuesday (Nov. 24) when they travel to Catawba to take on the Indians.
