Coker and Wingate to Square Off in SAC Showdown

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's basketball team will be back at home to on the Bulldogs of Wingate University on Wednesday (Jan. 28). The matchup will take place in the DeLoach Center with live stats and broadcast available at www.cokercobras.com.

The Cobras return home after a brief two-game road stint. They will look to continue their perfect home record during the month of January as they are 3-0 in the DeLoach Center in 2015.

The Navy and Yellow are led by SAC leading scorer Errick Bethel who is averaging 20.6 points per game this season. Donte Samuels has scored in double figures in four of his last five games, including 15 and 21-point performances in his last two outings. He is averaging 12 points per contest this year. Trey James continues to be a force on the glass and is now fifth in the conference averaging 7.6 rebounds a game. He will be looking for his seventh double digit rebounding performance on the season.

The Bulldogs hit the road sporting a 10-8 overall and a 7-5 in conference record after a road loss to Brevard. They are led by Ryan Daye and Isiah Cureton who are averaging 13.8 and 10.8 points per game.

Opening tip is set for 8 p.m. after the conclusion of the women's game. Tickets are $15 for reserved seats, $5 dollars for adults, $3 dollars for students, and free for all Coker students, faculty and staff.
