Coker Men’s Basketball Looking to Tame Wolves

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's basketball team will be back in action on Wednesday (Nov. 19) as they take on the visiting Newberry College Wolves in their South Atlantic Conference opener. Game time is set for 8 p.m. at the DeLoach Center. Live stats and broadcast can be found at www.cokercobras.com.

The Cobras are coming off a 68-60 victory over Erskine at the Sodexo SAC/Conference Carolinas Challenge.

The Navy and Yellow are led by seniors Errick Bethel and Larry Felder. Bethel is averaging 26 points aper game so far this season, after a 33-point effort against North Greenville. Felder is averaging 13 points per game through two games while pulling down six rebounds. Junior Trey Marshall has chipped in 11 points a game along with four assists per game.

The Wolves took both games during the SAC/Conference Challenge with wins over Erskine and North Greenville. They have five players averaging 10-plus points so far. Most notably is senior Dondray Walker who was a preseason first-team All-SAC selection and an honorable mention All-American by the Sporting News.

Tickets are $15 dollars for reserved seats, $5 dollars for adults, $3 dollars for students, and free for all Coker students, faculty and staff.
