HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker College men's basketball coach Dan Schmotzer has announced the addition of Timothy Buchikos to the 2014-15 recruiting class. Buchikos will join the Navy and Yellow beginning in the fall of 2014.

"We are excited to have Tim joining our team next year. He is going to give us the size and length needed to compete in the South Atlantic Conference," said Schmotzer. "We feel that he will fit in, perfectly, with the system we run and what we are trying to accomplish in the conference."

Buchikos, a 7-foot-2 center, is from Roanoke, Va., where he attends Hargrave Military Academy. He is a two-sport athlete in basketball and soccer. In basketball he averaged eight points, six rebounds and four blocks per game while being named a second team all-conference selection.

Timothy is the son of Jessica Buchikos and Christopher and Julie Buchikos.
