Cobras Set To Take on Bulldogs

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker men's basketball team is set to take on the Wingate Bulldogs on Wednesday (Feb. 19) in the Timberlake-Lawton Gymnasium. Coker defeated Wingate in South Atlantic Conference action in January, 75-68. Tip-off is slated for 8 p.m., following the women's game. The Cobras are coming off a big 81-59 win over Catawba College, where six players put up double digit points. Julian Nelson continues to lead the way for Coker, averaging 18.7 points per game, while Larry Felder leads the team in rebounding with 6.4 boards per game. Sophomore Trey Marshall is making a name for himself in his first year as a Cobra, averaging 10.1 points per game.

The Bulldogs come to Hartsville after a one point loss to Queens. Wingate is 13-9 overall and 10-8 in the SAC. They are led by Ryan Daye, who averages 17.7 points per game, and Deion Turman who averages 9.8 rebounds per game.

Tickets for Wednesday's game can be purchased at the door, $5 for adults and $3 for students. Admission is free for all Coker faculty, staff, and students.
