Cobras Fall to No. 23 Railsplitters 78-67

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Larry Felder led all scorers with 19 points in the Coker's Cobras 78-67 loss to the nationally ranked No. 23 Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters on Saturday (Dec. 7) in South Atlantic Conference men's basketball action.

Felder was the Cobras leading scorer with 19 points and four rebounds, while Teon Beckett and Eren Moses added 12 points and two rebounds each. Trey Marshall chipped in nine points for the Cobras and Sharod Williams pulled down three boards, earning his 500th career rebound.

Both teams got off to a slow start in the first half, as the score stayed within 10 points for the first 13 minutes of play. Lincoln Memorial opened up the game with 23-6 run to close out the first half and take a 45-24 lead into the locker room at halftime.

The Railsplitters did not relinquish the lead in the second half, but a strong run by the Cobras in the final minutes of action allowed Coker to pull within 11 to finish out the game. 

The Cobras will be back on the hardwood on Thursday (Dec. 12) when they travel to Charleston, S.C. to face the Cougars of College of Charleston in an exhibition game. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
