Cobras Punch Ticket to Conference Tourney with 88-74 Win Over Pfeiffer

MISENHEIMER, N.C. – The Coker men's basketball team advanced to the Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Tournament with a 88-74 victory over Pfeiffer University. With the victory the Cobras have now won their last six games in a row, improving to 8-8 in conference play. The win also gave Coker the #4 seed in the East Division.

Sharod Williams (Miami, Fla.) led the way with his eighth double-double of the season scoring 23 points with 15 rebounds. Also scoring in double figures was Julian Nelson (Irmo, S.C.) with 22 points, Charles West (Ellenwood, Ga.) with 12 points and Austin Harper (Chesnee, S.C.) had 10.

The Cobras will head to King College in Bristol, Tenn. for the opening round of the tournament on Tuesday. Tip-off against the #1 seed in the West Division is scheduled for 7 p.m.
