ROCK HILL, S.C. - South Atlantic Conference Carolinas announced its AstroTurf Field Hockey Players of the Week for matches played during the week of Sept. 24 through Sept. 30. Coker's Amelia Gajewski was named the Offensive Player of the Week for her standout performance against Converse last week.

Gajewski, a junior from Collins, New York, led the Cobras to their first field hockey victory in over 40 years, with a 4-2 win over Converse in South Atlantic Conference Carolinas action last week. The midfielder netted a hat trick, scoring three goals for six points on three shots. This is the first Offensive Player of the Week honor for Gajewski and the Cobras.

The psychology major is the daughter of Steve and Ann Marie Gajewski.
