HARTSVILLE, S.C. - The Coker University Esports Overwatch team played in week eight of the Tespa Preseason against University of Colorado Boulder and University of Alaska Anchorage on Sunday (Nov. 10).

The first match was against University of Colorado Boulder with the match starting on Oasis. Coker was able to win the first round 100-0 and was almost able to do it again in the second round, but Boulder was able to gain the point when Coker was at 95%. Coker was then able to gain the point back to win the map. The second map was King's Row, and Coker was set to defend first. They were able to hold strong at the end of the map and prevented Colorado from getting the third point. After a slow start, Coker was able to push past UC Boulder's defense and use their momentum to win the map and the match.

The next match was against University of Alaska Anchorage with the first map being Oasis. In the first round the point was traded back and forth, but Coker was able to win the round 100-96. Round two was also very close, and Alaska was able to win 100-99. For the third and final round, Coker was able to take control and win 100-58, winning the map 2-1. The second map was King's Row, and Coker was able to repeat their defense from the last match by stopping Alaska just short of the third point. Coker was unable to match the distance putting the match at 1-1. The third and final map was Dorado, and Coker was up to push first. Coker got an early push, pushing to the third point with 3:40 left. On defense Coker was able to stop UA Anchorage before the second point to win the match 2-1.
