Coker League of Legends Team Takes Down West Virginia University

HARTSVILLE, S.C. - The Coker College League of Legends team faced off against West Virginia University in their week three game in the Collegiate League of Legends season on Saturday (Feb. 9 ).

Alex Mueller came into week three tied for second in kills and third in gold per minute in the entire South Region. The first game of the series did not go the Cobras way so they decided to change up their pick/ban strategy and it worked wonders as they won the second game decisively. The third game started off in West Virginia's favor as they jumped out to a 7-0 kill lead. The Cobras didn't go down without a fight as they were able to find fight after fight in their favor as they crawled their way back into the game. After many close teamfights, the Cobras were able to pick off their opponents and grab the Baron. After getting the Baron they made the call to try to end the game. Although 4 members on the team fell, Aden Vermeersch was able to stay alive to kill the opposing Vlad and end the game, giving Coker the victory.

The win puts Coker at 2-1 in the season and they will return next week as they look to keep their winning record going. You can tune in at www.twitch.tv/cokeresports and follow their notifications at www.twitch.tv/cokeresports
