HARTSVILLE, S.C. - The Coker College Overwatch team took on High Point University in their second to last varsity match of the season on Thursday (Feb. 7). Coker came into this matchup at 4-1 and High Point came in at 2-1.
The first map was Ilios and Coker was able to take the point quickly. They were then able to bunker down and hold the point for the rest of the round. The second round was the same as the first and Coker took the first map without letting the Panthers get a single percentage point. The second map was Hollywood and Coker broke out their anti-goats comp and they were able to push through the entire map with only a few roadblocks. Next, it was up to High Point to do the same, but the Cobras held strong at the first point to win the map. Coker would go on to win the match 2-0.
This puts Coker at 5-1 as they go into their last match against Savannah College of Art & Design on Tuesday (Feb. 12) at 8:00 PM and all the action can be found at www.twitch.tv/cokeresports.
