HARTSVILLE, S.C. - The Coker Cobras League of Legends team faced off against the University of South Carolina in their opening game of the Collegiate League of Legends season.
The match started and USC came out swinging, gaining a 13-0 kill lead 20 minutes in. Coker was able to stall the game time and time again, but after one lost teamfight their Nexus was destroyed. The second game was closer but yet again was in USC's favor. After a baron steal and some nice engages, Coker was able to win teamfight after teamfight and claw their way back into the game. Alex Mueller was able to end the game 17/2/9 to lead his team to a win.
The match would come down to a third and final game, and again USC was able to take control of the game early. This time they would use their momentum and end the game before Coker could react, taking the match 2-1..
