Luke Harrigan was named the head baseball coach for Coker in May 2016, and has since led the Cobras to a total of 56 wins, and trips to the South Atlantic Conference tournament in 2017 and 2019. 2019 saw Harrigan's team rack up three more All-Conference honors, as Larry McCabe and Casey Demko were named All-League honorable mention and Lake Lybrand was also named to the league's All-Defensive Team. His pitching staff led the conference in fewest home runs allowed in 2018, and he coached two All-Conference selections in Griffin Hollifield (2nd team, relief pitcher) and Forrest Arnold (honorable mention, starting pitcher) during the 2017 season.

Harrigan came to Coker after five years as the head coach at Alderson Broaddus University, where he led the Battlers to five consecutive winning seasons with an overall record of 144-103. The Battlers enjoyed an impressive 29-win season in his first season (2012), and a trip to the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship Game. Alderson Broaddus finished in second place that year, and their 29 wins were the most in program history at the time. Harrigan quickly bested that mark, leading the Battlers to a new school-record 33 wins in 2015 after previously tying the 29-win mark in the previous two seasons.

Under Harrigan’s leadership, the Battlers advanced to the conference tournament for five consecutive seasons, while several of his players earned conference, regional and national recognition. In 2016, Harrigan led the Battlers to a historic season with a record of 31-21. They won the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) title for the first time in school history and advanced to the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional.  Nine players were named to the All G-MAC teams and three received Conference Commissions Association All-Region honors.

Harrigan has coached several players that have continued to play baseball beyond the collegiate level;

Randy Dobnak- Minnesota Twins (Cedar Rapids- A)

Jared Solomon- Cincinnati Reds (11th Round)

Jeff Conley- Pacific Association/ Frontier League/ USPBL

Bobby McLaughlin- Pecos League

Prior to taking the helm at Alderson Broaddus, Harrigan served as the Head Coach at Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri, Franklin College in Franklin, Indiana and as an assistant at Adrian College. During his time at Adrian he served as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator.  The program reached new heights by winning the 2008 NCAA Mideast Regional and making a trip to the NCAA Division III College World Series. The Bulldogs finished the 2008 season ranked No. 4 nationally.

After the 2008 season, Harrigan served as an assistant at Division I Bowling Green State University before signing a contract to play professionally as a player/manager in the German Professional League.

Harrigan also worked for Major League Baseball International during his time in Germany from 2008-12. He organized and facilitated camps and clinics with local clubs as well as the National Team in Germany.  Harrigan’s job also included scouting European talent across Germany to be recognized by the major leagues.

As a player, Harrigan led Adrian to its first out-right conference title in his senior season. He was a two-time First Team All-Conference catcher and team MVP in his senior season. Upon graduation, Harrigan played summer ball for the Springfield Giants and won the Semi-Pro NABF Major Division World Series in Louisville, Ky.

Originally from Urbana, Ohio, Harrigan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in health and physical education from Adrian College. He also earned a Masters Degree in Sport Science from the United States Sports Academy in Daphne, Alabama.

Harrigan was married in the summer of 2017 to the former Leigh Ann Lutz.
