Three Cobras Selected to Preseason All-Conference Teams
ROCK HILL, S.C.- The Coker University baseball team was tabbed ninth in the South Atlantic Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, the league announced on Tuesday, (Jan. 25). Coker's Reilly Hall, Kody Hanna, and Phill Griffor were all named to the SAC Preseason All-Conference Second Team.

ROCK HILL, S.C.- The Coker University baseball team was tabbed ninth in the South Atlantic Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, the league announced on Tuesday, (Jan. 25). Coker's Reilly Hall, Kody Hanna, and Phill Griffor were all named to the SAC Preseason All-Conference Second Team.
Hall, a senior outfielder out of Cooperstown, New York, appeared in all 38 games for the Cobras during the 2021 season. He totaled 28 hits with 29 RBI and nine home runs over the course of the season. Hall was named SAC AstroTurf Player of the Week and NCBWA Southeast Region Player of the Week on April 6 after his performance against UVA-Wise, which included a game with three home runs, five RBI, and four runs scored. Hall was also named Male Breakthrough Player of the Year at the seventh annual FANG Awards and was chosen as a member of the 2020-21 South Atlantic Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll. He is the son of Anne Smullens and Bob Hall and is majoring in business and criminology.
Griffor, a senior infielder out of China, Michigan, appeared in all 38 games for the Cobras last season. Griffor finished the season with 41 hits, two home runs, 20 RBI, and a .299 batting average. Griffor recorded a 4-4 game against UVA-Wise, which included two home runs and five RBI. He is the son of Jayne Griffor and is a business administration major.
Hanna, a sophomore first baseman out of Hemingway, South Carolina, appeared in 28 games as a freshman for the Cobras. He collected 29 hits, five home runs, 17 RBI, and a .326 batting average in his first season in Hartsville. He is the son of Will and T.J. Hanna, and is undecided on his major.
The Cobras kick off their season with a road trip to Wilson, N.C. for a non-conference showdown against the Barton College Bulldogs on Tuesday, February 1 with first pitch scheduled for 2 p.m.. Coverage can be found at www.cokercobras.com.
