HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker baseball team hosted a free youth clinic on Wednesday (Mar. 15) at Byerly Park to teach the game of baseball to Hartsville's youth.

The Coker baseball coaching staff and players worked to teach the kids the basic fundamentals of throwing, hitting, fielding and pitching. About 30 kids attended the free event.

"It's always great to see so many kids around the community playing the game of baseball," said head baseball coach Luke Harrigan.  "Hartsville has a lot of excitement for the game of baseball and it helps our players understand the impact they have with kids.  We have a lot of great guys that interact well with kids and I am glad that we could make this happen with the local youth leagues around Hartsville."

Coker baseball will be hosting more camps for various age groups over the summer. For more details, visit www.cokercobras.com/camps.
