Cobras Ground Falcons in 15-2 Win

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- Coker baseball picked up its third straight win in its 15-2 victory over St. Augustine's on Wednesday (Feb. 10).

An eight-run third inning, two-run fourth and a three-run fifth helped Coker pull away, as four Cobras notched multi-hit games. Miguel Frias knocked his third homer of the year in the third inning, and also notched four RBI on the day. Darius Coldiron posted a 4-5 day with three doubles, two RBI and two runs scored, while Ryan Wayne went 2-4 with two RBI and a run scored. 

Coker used seven different pitchers in the contest, with Kenny Barry (1-0) picking up the win. Clark fired one inning allowing one hit and one unearned run. Forrest Arnold started the game on the mound, and was able to get out of the first unscathed despite allowing three hits. Kenny Barry, Dallas Baldwin, Ben Brown, Joey Carpenter and J.T. Whritner appeared in the contest for an inning apiece as well.

Coker will hit the field again this weekend (Feb. 13-14) when they host Saint Rose for a three-game series. There will be a doubleheader starting at noon Saturday and the third game Sunday will start at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday. Tickets for the game are $5 for adults, $3 for students and free to all Coker faculty, staff and students.
