Cobras Fall to Newberry in Season Finale

NEWBERRY, S.C. – The Coker College baseball team dropped games two and three of its three-game South Atlantic Conference series against the Newberry College Wolves on Saturday (Apr. 18). The Wolves won game one 7-6 in 10 innings, then took game two 2-0.

In game one, five Cobras had a multi-hit game. Miguel Frias led the way going 2-for-5 with two RBIs. Dustin Russell and Will Winslow each went 2-for-4 with a run scored. Bryson Connor and Clint Allen went 2-for-3. Connor plated an RBI and scored a run, while Allen scored two runs.

In game two, Frias had another two hit game, going 2-for-3. Winslow went 1-for-3 and Alex Rodriguez finished 1-for-2.

Will Sutton was hit with the loss in game one. He gave up four hits and a run in one inning of work. Ryan Milner suffered the loss in game two. He gave up one run on five hits in five innings.

Today's games marked the conclusion of the 2015 campaign for the Coker baseball team.
