Cobras Drop Non-Conference Game to UNCP

PEMBROKE, N.C. – The Coker Cobra dropped their non-conference game against the UNC Pembroke Braves 20-5 on Tuesday (Mar. 24) night in collegiate baseball action.

Jack Leech, Tyler Osik and Bryson Conner supplied the Coker offense at the plate. Leech went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, an RBI and a run scored. Osik also went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored, and Conner finished the game with a pair of hits including a home run, an RBI and a run scored.

Korbin Causey (0-2) was tagged with the loss on the mound. He allowed 10 runs on 13 hits in three and third innings on the hill.

The Cobras will have a quick turn around before their next game, as they will be back on the field on Wednesday (Mar. 25). They will host Voorhees in a non-conference game at Tom J. New Field. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.
