Cobras Drop Two Against Eagles

JEFFERSON CITY, TENN. – The Coker College baseball team dropped games one and two of their three-game series against the Eagles of Carson-Newman University on Saturday (Mar.21). The Eagles took game one by a score of 15-7 and game two by a score of 6-3. 

Bryson Conner led the Cobras offensively in game one, going 2-for-5 at the plate with an RBI. Miguel Frias went 1-for-3 with a home run. 

In game two, Joe Diaz finished a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate. Sammy Song and Frias each went 1-for-3. Frias plated two RBIs, while Song picked up an RBI of his own. 

Forrest Arnold (2-5) suffered the loss in game one. He gave up eight earned runs in six innings of work. Ryan Milner (2-1) was tagged with the loss in game two. He gave up six runs on 10 hits in six innings. 

The Cobras will wrap up their three-game road series tomorrow (Mar. 22). First pitch is slated for 1 p.m.
