Cobras Fall to No. 25 Braves 13-8

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College baseball team dropped a non-conference matchup to the visiting No. 25 UNC Pembroke Braves on Wednesday (Mar. 11) by a score of 13-8. 

The Cobras were led offensively by freshman outfielder Joe Diaz. Diaz went 3-for-5, belted a home run to left center field, and plated four RBIs. Will Winslow and Sammy Song knocked in two RBIs each. Winslow finished the afternoon 2-for-5, while Song went 2-for-4. Miguel Frias scored three runs and went 3-for-5 at the dish. 

Forrest Arnold suffered the lost. He gave up six runs on seven hits in two innings of work. 

The Cobras will be back in action on Friday, as they travel to Lenoir Rhyne for a three-game South Atlantic Conference series against the Bears.
