Cobras to Take on Mercyhurst in Non-Conference Matchup

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College baseball team will be back at the friendly confines of Tom J. New Field on Monday (Mar. 9) for non-conference matchup against the visiting Mercyhurst University Lakers.

The Cobras are coming off a 3-2 win on Sunday (Mar. 8) over the Anderson University Trojans.

Dustin Russell and Sammy Song lead the Navy and Yellow with 13 and 10 RBIs on the season. Russell is batting .341 while Song is batting a team-high .377. Bryson Connor is batting .309 with seven RBIs and six doubles on the season. His six doubles is ninth best in the South Atlantic Conference.

Ryan Milner and Dallas Baldwin lead the Coker pitching staff with two wins each.

The Lakers come to Hartsville with a 2-0 overall record.

First pitch is set for 1 p.m. on Monday (Mar. 9) at Tom J. Field.
