Cobras Drop Series Finale to No. 5 Seton Hill

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker Cobras dropped their series finale against the nationally ranked No. 5 Seton Hill Griffin 12-8 on Sunday (Feb. 22) in collegiate baseball action.

The Cobras pounded out eight runs on 16 hits, including five for extra bases, but defensive miscues helped lead the Griffins to the 12-8 victory.

Every Coker batter had at least one hit, while Sammy Song belted four hits and drove in two runs. Michael Orlowski had three hits, including a double and two RBIs and Bryson Conner had a pair of hits with a double, two runs scored and an RBI.

JT Whritner (0-1) was tagged with the loss. He went an inning and a third on the mound, allowing seven runs on three hits.

The Cobras will return to action on Wednesday (Feb. 25) as they wrap-up a nine-game home stand against Limestone College. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m.
