Cobra Baseball Hosts Falcons in Home Opener

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College baseball team will take the friendly confines of Tom J. New Field on Monday (Feb. 9) for the first time in 2015 to take on the visiting Falcons of St. Augustine's University. First pitch is slated for 2 p.m. with live stats and broadcast available at www.cokercobras.com.

At the plate, the Cobras are led by outfielders Miguel Frias and Sammy Song. Frias comes in batting .364 while Song is batting .350. Freshman infielder Bryson Conner has a team high three RBIs through five games along with a .308 batting average.

Forrest Arnold leads the Navy and Yellow pitching staff with a 1-1 record and a sizzling 0.82 ERA through 11 innings of work.

The Falcons come to Hartsville with a 1-3 record on the season.

Tickets for the game are available at the gate. Cost is $5 for adults, $3 for students and all Coker faculty, staff and students get in free.
