Cobras Look to Take Down Jaguars in Non-Conference Matchup

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College baseball team plays host to the Jaguars of Georgia Regents University in a non-conference matchup on Wednesday (April 16).

Seniors T.J Giczkowski and Ernie Kirkwood continue to be the offensive catalyst for this year's squad. Giczkowski has a team high .348 batting average along with 28 RBIs and 21 stolen bases, both of which are second best on the team. Kirkwood leads the team in RBIs with 37, doubles with 10 and triples with six. As a team, the Navy and Yellow have swiped 112 bags on the season, which is best in the SAC and No. 5 in Division II baseball.

Freshman Adam Webb may be the likely starter on Wednesday as he is 4-1 on the season with a 3.86 ERA in 32.2 innings of work.

The Jaguars are led offensively by JD Sabo and Hunter Boose. Sabo has a team high .371 batting average while Boose leads the team with 25 RBIs. On the mound, Tyler Brown comes to Hartsville with a 4-1 record and 2.23 ERA in 44.1 innings.
