Coker Set to Host St. Augustine's on Tuesday

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker baseball team will host the Falcons of St. Augustine's University in a non-conference game on Tuesday (Mar. 4) afternoon at the Tom J. New Baseball Field. Live stats will be available at www.cokercobras.com.

The Cobras will put their 7-1 record at home on the line against the Falcons. Leading the way will be seniors Fico Kondla and Ernie Kirkwood. Kondla sports a .353 batting average, with three doubles, a home run and eight RBIs, while Kirkwood enters the game batting .333 with three doubles, four triples and 10 RBIs. 

St. Augustine's comes to Hartsville sporting a 4-13 record after dropping a three-game series to Mansfield University.

Last season, the Cobras defeated the Falcons by one run in both of their meetings. Coker won the first game 10-9 at home, and then won the second 7-6 at St. Augustine's.

First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m.  Tickets for the game at $5 for adults, $3 for students and all Coker faculty, staff and students receive free admission.
