Coker Routs Paine 13-6

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Coker baseball team plated 13 runs on 17 hits in their 13-6 win over Paine College on Tuesday afternoon. The Cobras also swiped seven bases and drove in 12 runs as a team.

Freshman John Lauttenbach (Norwalk, Conn.) (1-0) earned his first collegiate win on the mound. He scattered seven hits over 5.2 innings of work, allowing five runs.

Nathan Wilson (Milliken, Colo.) was a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate with a double, two RBIs and three runs scored, while Keith Wolf (O'Fallon, Ill.) had three hits and drove in three runs. Frank Suarez (Miami, Fla.) had a pair of hits with three RBIs, Tony Nolan (Olathe, Kansas) had a double with an RBI and Jake Frazier (Indian Harbor Beach, Fla.) had a triple with an RBI and two runs scored.

The Cobras will return to the diamond this weekend when they host St. Andrews University in a three-game Conference Carolinas series starting on Friday at 3:30 p.m. and finishing up with a doubleheader on Saturday starting at noon.
