Cobras and Falcons Split Conference Twinbill

MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Dan Meyer (Seaford, N.Y.) tossed a complete game shutout earning a 3-0 win, as Coker split their Conference Carolinas doubleheader with Pfeiffer University on Saturday.

Meyer (3-2) had a stellar outing, allowing just four hits, while holding the Falcons scoreless with three strikeouts. The complete game effort was Meyer's fourth of the season.

Fico Kondla (Miami, Fla.) and Jake Frazier (Indian Harbor Beach, Fla.) each drove in a run, to lead the Coker offense in game two.

The Cobras (13-12, 6-5 Conf. Carolinas) dropped the opening game of the doubleheader, 7-4. Tyler Witzel (Melbourne, Fla.) (1-2) was tagged with the loss. He gave up seven runs on nine hits in five innings on the mound.

Lucas Britt (Myrtle Beach, S.C.) and Frazier were the leading hitters in game one. They were both 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Coker and Pfeiffer will complete their three-game Conference Carolinas series with a single nine inning game on Sunday at 1 p.m.
