CAROLLTON, Ga.- Keith Wolf (O'Fallon, Ill.) was 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in the Coker baseball team's 9-7 loss to West Georgia on Tuesday night.
The Cobras were leading 5-2 heading into the fifth inning, but the Wolves plated five runs in the bottom of the fifth to take the 7-5 lead. West Georgia added a pair of insurance runs in the sixth and seventh innings, while Coker added two runs of their own in the top half of the seventh for a 9-7 final.
Russ White (Marion, S.C.) (1-1) was tagged with the loss. He allowed three runs on five hits in an inning and two-thirds of work on the mound.
Taylor Martin (San Jose, Calif.) drove in a pair of runs and scored another, while Nathan Wilson (Milliken, Colo.), Frank Suarez (Miami, Fla.) and Jake Frazier (Indian Harbor Beach, Fla.) each had a pair of hits. Wilson also drove in and scored a run for the Cobras.
Coker and West Georgia will complete their two-game series on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m.
