Cobras Take Two from Saints

GAFFNEY, S.C.- Jake Frazier (Indian Harbor Beach, S.C.) and Keith Wolf (O'Fallon, Ill.) each belted a grand slam home run, while Tyler Witzel (Melbourne, Fla.) and Dan Meyer (Seaford, N.Y.) tossed a pair of gems as the Cobras swept their Conference Carolinas baseball doubleheader against Limestone Saturday.


The Cobras won game one 6-1 and then picked up a 6-2 win in game two.


Witzel got the win in game one allowing just one run on two hits in seven innings on the mound. He fanned five Saints.


Meyer was the winner in game two. He tossed a complete game giving up two runs on six hits, while striking out four.


Frazier was the leading hitter in game one with a pair of hits including his grand slam, while Wolf was 1-for-3 with four RBIs and a run scored in game two. Chad Nader finished the day with three hits, including a triple, three RBIs and three runs scored.


The Cobras will look to complete the three game sweep of the Saints on Sunday. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
