Coker Drops Conference Carolinas Opener to Belmont Abbey 9-0

BELMONT, N.C. – Senior Jake Fraizer (Indian Harbor Beach, Fla.) was 1-for-3 with a double at the plate in the Cobras 9-0 Conference Carolinas loss to Belmont Abbey on Friday afternoon.

Junior right-hander Tyler Witzel (Melbourne, Fla.) suffered the loss, allowing five runs on five hits with four strikeouts in four innings on the mound.

Also picking up hits at the plate for Coker were Keith Wolf (O'Fallon, Ill), Lucas Britt (Myrtle Beach, S.C.) Fico Kondla (Miami, Fla.) T.J. Sinnott (Denver, Pa.) and Chad Nader (Rock Hill, S.C.)

The Cobras and the Crusaders will complete their three game set with a doubleheader on Saturday. Game time has been pushed up by a half hour in order to avoid rain later in the day. First pitch for game one will be at 11:30 a.m. The first game will be seven innings, with game two being a nine inning affair.
