Nader Lifts Cobras to 6-5 Win Over Paine

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker's Chad Nader (Rock Hill, S.C.) laced a line drive up the middle, scoring Keith Wolf (O'Fallon, Ill.) and giving the Cobras a 6-5 victory over Paine College on Tuesday.  The walk-off game-winner was Coker's second in as many games; both times Wolf scored the game-winning run.

After falling behind 2-0 early, the Cobras took a 4-2 lead after the sixth inning, only to fall behind 5-4 in the top of the eighth. Coker plated a run in the bottom half of the inning to tie the game at five and then Nader drove home Wolf in the ninth to take home the win.

Matt Bowan (Streator, Ill.) (1-0) earned the win with an inning and two-thirds of relief work, but the pitcher of the game was freshman John Lauttenbach (Norwalk, Conn.) In his first collegiate appearance, Lauttenbach shut the door on the Lion hitters allowing three runs on five hits with six strikeouts in six innings of work.

Nader finished the game with two RBIs, while Wolf had three hits including a double with a run scored. Jake Frazier (Indian Harbor Beach, Fla.) and Rob Quattrock (Holtsville, N.Y.) each drove in a run for the Cobras as well.

Coker returns to the diamond for a three-game series with Anderson University starting with a doubleheader on Saturday at noon.
