McCall led Coker to 18 wins in 2020, including three in South Atlantic Conference play before the season was shortened due to COVID-19. Academically, Coker posted a 3.61 team GPA for the year and also landed 13 on the 2019-20 South Atlantic Conference Commissioner's honor Roll. 

The Cobras would return to the NCAA Southeast Regional under McCall in 2018-19, posting a 31-19 record. McCall coached Jordyn Goodman to a South Atlantic Conference Pitcher of the Week honor on Feb. 19, before Carver picked up a Pitcher of the Week honor on Apr. 1. Coker boasted three All-Conference selections in Taylor Forehand, Isabelle Mullen and Chloe Pelham, while Pelham was named to the NFCA All-Region Team. 

The Cobras went 36-18 and finished as the South Atlantic Conference tournament runner-up for the second consecutive year in 2017-18. The Cobras opened the NCAA Southeast Regional witha 2-0 win over Queens (N.C.) in postseason play. Maria Williamson was named the South Atlantic Conference Player of the Week on Feb. 20, before Hannah Price and Christine Carver swept Player and Pitcher of the Week honors the following week. Carver would earn her second Pitcher of the Week honor on Mar. 6, before being named the Louisville Slugger/NFCA National Pitcher of the Week on Mar. 7. McCall would earn his 100th career win at Coker on Mar. 22, 2018 when the Cobras defeated split a doubleheader with Wingate. Carver would earn her third Pitcher of the Week honor of the season on Apr. 24, before her and Williamson were later named to the All-Conference First Team. McCall later coached Carver, Williamson and Bri Strickland to All-Tournament Team honors, before Williamson would earn First Team All-Region honors by both the NFCA and the D2CCA. Williamson was later named a NFCA All-American. 

McCall led the Coker softball team to a historical season during the 2016-17 campaign, highlighted by finishing runner-up in the South Atlantic Conference Tournament and recording 41 wins, the first 40-win season for the Coker softball since 2002. The Cobras defeated three nationally-ranked teams (No. 11 University of Charleston, No. 22 Limestone College, No. 13 Lenoir-Rhyne University) this season, while scoring regular season sweeps over nine non-conference opponents and six regular season sweeps over SAC teams. The Cobras finished SAC play with 13 wins, earning the No. 4 seed in the SAC Tournament. Regionally, the Cobras were ranked as high as No. 10 in the southeast region. McCall had six players named to All-SAC teams this season. Mindy North was named first team as a utility player, Maria Williamson was a second team selection at first base, while Cacey Simmons, Kelsi Bachmann, Hannah Price and Taylor Forehand were all honorable mention selections. In the SAC Tournament, Simmons and Tayler Barcomb were named to the SAC All-Tournament Team. Under McCall's tutelage, Barcomb earned 2017 D2CCA first team all-region honors and was named a 2017 D2CCA second team All-American as a utility player. Barcomb became the sixth athletic All-American in Coker softball history and the first since 1999. McCall also earned Coach of the Year honors at Coker's 2017 FANG Awards.

In July of 2016 McCall added the title of Director of Outdoor Facilities to his duties.

McCall led the Cobras to a 15-win season in 2015-16, including an 11-win total at the friendly confines of Saleeby-Stokes Softball Field. Ashley Gallman, Riley Morris and Tayler Barcomb were named to the preseason All-SAC team, while Gallman and Morris earned regular season All-SAC honors. 

In his first season, head coach Travis McCall led the Coker College softball team to a 24-win season, 10 of which came in South Atlantic Conference play. In only their second season in the SAC, the Cobras made an appearance in the SAC Softball Tournament. Ashlee Ellen was a preseason All-SAC honoree, while Ashley Gallman, Riley Morris and Tayler Barcomb all regular season earned All-SAC honors.

Travis McCall was appointed as the head coach for the Coker College softball team in June of 2014. McCall took over the program from legendary Coach David Hanna who retired after 23 years as the Cobras head coach.

McCall came to Coker after serving as the assistant coach at King University for the past three seasons, amassing more than 94 wins. Under his tutelage, 15 Tornado players earned all-conference honors, and 11 were named academic all-conference. Additionally, he helped guide the Tornado to a Conference Carolinas regular season title (2013), a Conference Carolinas Tournament title (2012) and two Conference Carolinas Tournament championship game appearances (2012, 2014).

McCall assisted King in becoming one of the top hitting and pitching teams in Conference Carolinas during his three years. In 2014 the Tornado ranked in the top five in 13 statistical categories, including being fourth in runs (169), third in hits (350), first in doubles (64), fourth in home runs (18), fourth in runs batted in (143) and fourth in total bases (472).  On the defensive side of the ball the Tornado were first in strikeouts (296), second in ERA (2.42) and second in shutouts (8).

In addition to the 15 all-conference performers, McCall has coached two-time Conference Carolinas Pitcher of the Year and two-time Daktronics All-Southeast Region selection Hannah Light.

Prior to his arrival at King, McCall served as the assistant coach at Columbus State University from 2010-2011. He helped guide the Cougars to a record of 37-16, a 16-win improvement from their previous season. CSU finished third in the Peach Belt Conference and advanced to the conference tournament.

McCall was a four-year letter winner for the University of West Georgia baseball team and a member of the Gulf South Conference Academic Honor Roll. He received his Bachelor of Science in Sports Management in 2008 and received his Master of Business Administration in 2009, both from the University of West Georgia.
