Reece Helms joined the Athletics Media Relations office as an Assistant Director in August 2019.

Helms recently completed a media relations internship with the Greenville Drive, the A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox.

While in school at Bob Jones University, he worked as a staff writer for the athletic department publishing articles and also handling player and coach interviews. As a student, he was also involved with the Exercise and Sport Science Association. 

He also has been a member of the event staff at BSW Arena in Greenville, S.C. working with event setup.

In 2017, he was an intern for the Charlotte Independence of the USL. He wrote relesaes and handled media relations, and also conducted player and coach interviews. 

Helms has also worked in guest relations with the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League (NFL). 

A 2019 graduate of Bob Jones University, Helms holds a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management. He is currently pursuing his Master's of Science in College Athletic Administration at Coker.
