Joshua Schwartz was hired as the assistant men's lacrosse coach in June of 2017. Most recently, Schwartz served as the assistant men's lacrosse coach at Young Harris College. Before arriving at Young Harris, Schwartz spent two years as the assistant men's lacrosse coach at Greensboro College. While coaching for the Pride, Schwartz was the offensive and recruiting coordinator.

Prior to working with Greensboro College, Schwartz was the offensive coordinator and player development coach for the boy’s varsity and JV lacrosse teams at Lakeville South High School in Minnesota. 

During his time with the Cougars, he helped lead the team to the most successful season in program history, amassing 11 wins and reaching as high as 8th in the state coaches poll. Josh coached one all-state and six all-conference selections, along with two NCAA Division I commits. 

Prior to working at LSHS, Josh was a volunteer assistant lacrosse coach at Saint Leo University and intern strength and conditioning coach during the fall of 2014. 

Schwartz played midfield for the University of Mount Olive men’s lacrosse team from 2012-2014, a NCAA division II program and members of Conference Carolinas. As a midfielder for the 6th ranked offensive team in the nation, Schwartz helped lead the team to a 13-3 overall record and 3-1 mark in Conference Carolinas play. In his senior season, the team earned its first ever national ranking of #14 in the USILA Division II Poll. The Trojans fell to the eventual national champions, Limestone College in the Conference Carolinas Championship game. Schwartz graduated from UMO in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. 

Before transferring to UMO, Schwartz attended Mercyhurst University North East Community College and played for the men’s lacrosse team, a member of the NJCAA Region III. In two seasons at Mercyhurst North East, Schwartz was a leader of teams that achieved school records in wins, national rankings, and postseason 
births in both seasons.  

Schwartz graduated from Lakeville South High School in Lakeville, MN., where he was a member of the lacrosse team.
