Coker to Host First Responders Night

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – On Wednesday, Jan. 15, Coker Athletics will host a First Responders Appreciation Night in the Timberlake-Lawton Gymnasium.

First-response personnel such as fire, police, and emergency medical service workers, and their families, are invited to the men’s and women’s basketball games and will receive free admission.

“We are honored to recognize the hard work of the brave men and women that serve our community as police officers, fire fighters and emergency medical service workers,” said Lynn Griffin, Coker’s vice president of athletics and facilities. “Although it may not be much, we want these people to know how much we appreciate what they do to make Hartsville a great place to work and live.”

Coker will host the Indians of Catawba College, with the women’s game starting a 6 p.m. followed by the men at 8 p.m.  First-response personnel are welcome to attend both games.
