HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The winter storm that hit our area over the past two days has affected several of Coker’s weekend athletic events.
The latest updates on scheduled athletic events for men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, men’s and women’s lacrosse, softball, men’s and women’s tennis, men’s volleyball and wrestling are as follows:
- Men’s and women’s basketball
– The men’s and women’s basketball games
scheduled for Saturday (Feb. 15) at Brevard will be played as
scheduled at 2 and 4 p.m.
- Baseball – The baseball game scheduled
for Saturday (Feb. 15) at Limestone has been canceled. The Cobras
will play Limestone at home on Sunday (Feb. 16). Game time is
TBD.
- Women’s lacrosse – The
women’s lacrosse game scheduled for Saturday (Feb. 15) at
home against Erskine has been rescheduled for Monday (Feb. 17). The
game will begin at 1 p.m. at the Byerly Park soccer field in
Hartsville.
- Men’s lacrosse - The men’s
lacrosse game scheduled for Saturday (Feb. 15) at home against
Florida Tech has been rescheduled for Monday (Feb. 17). The game
will begin at 3 p.m. at the Byerly Park soccer field in
Hartsville.
- Softball – The softball double-header
scheduled for Saturday (Feb. 15) at St. Andrews has been canceled.
The Cobras will play a double-header at home on Sunday (Feb. 16)
against Columbia College. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
- Men’s and women’s tennis –
The men’s and women’s tennis matches scheduled for
Friday (Feb. 14) and Saturday (Feb. 15) against GRU Augusta and USC
Aiken have been postponed. The Cobras will play USC Aiken on
Sunday, March 2 at 1 p.m. at Aiken. They will make-up their match
with GRU Augusta on Tuesday, March 11 at 1 p.m. at Augusta.
- Men’s volleyball – The men’s
volleyball match scheduled for Saturday (Feb. 15) at Lees-McRae
will be played as scheduled at 2 p.m.
- Wrestling – The wrestling team’s dual match at George Mason University on Sunday (Feb. 16) has been canceled. No make-up date has been scheduled.
