4th Annual Cobra Club Golf Outing

Have you signed up your team for the 4th Annual Cobra Club Golf Outing? If not, spots are filling up fast. Register online here. The outing will take place at the Hartsville Country Club on Friday, Oct. 10.

2014 Taste of Coker

Cobra Spotlights

The "Cobra Spotlight" is a weekly highlight of a student-athlete at Coker College. Each week we take a different athlete from a different sport and display some facets to get more familiar with them. This week we take a look at women’s cross country runners; Vanessa Pina and Naomi Watson. Click here for spotlights. 

Women’s Soccer

  • This week’s matches:
    • Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. (H) – Georgia Southwestern – Hartsville Young Professional Night
    • Saturday at 1:00 p.m. (A) – Lincoln Memorial
  • Last week’s matches:
    • Clayton State (L) – 2-0
    • Young Harris (L) – 3-0
  • The Cobra women will play their first home match of the season this week. They will play host to Georgia Southwestern on Wednesday at 7 p.m. They will then head to Lincoln Memorial for their first South Atlantic Conference match of the season on Saturday at 1 p.m. Wednesday match will be Hartsville Young Professionals Night, with all members of the Hartsville Young Professionals group receiving free admission to the match.

Men’s Soccer

  • This week’s matches:
    • Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. (A) – Mount Olive
    • Saturday at 7:00 p.m. (A) – Lincoln Memorial
  • Last week’s matches:
    • Emmanuel (T) – 2-2
    • Florida Tech (L) – 1-0
  • After playing their first two matches of the season at home, the Cobras will hit the road for two matches this week at Mount Olive on Wednesday and at Lincoln Memorial on Saturday. The match on Saturday will be their first South Atlantic Conference contest of the season.

Women’s Volleyball

  • This week’s matches:
    • Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. (H)- Barton – White Out Night/Thomas Hart Night
  • Last week’s matches:
    • St. Andrews (W) – 3-0
    • Columbia College (L) – 3-1
    • Clark Atlanta (W) – 3-2
    • North Greenville (L) – 3-1
  • The women’s volleyball team opens its 2014 campaign by going 2-2 at the NGU Invitational. This week the Cobras will play host to Barton College in their first home match of the season. The match will also mark the first athletic event in the DeLoach Center. Fans are encouraged to wear white to the match and white out the stands. The first 100 fans in attendance will receive a free t-shirt to commemorating the event. It will also be Thomas Hart Academy Night. All Thomas Hart Academy faculty, staff and students will receive free admission to the match.  

Men’s & Women’s Cross Country

    • None
  • Last week’s meet:
    • Eye Opener – women – 10 of 18, men – 7 of 17
  • The men’s and women’s cross country teams opened the 2014 season with a pair of top 10 finishes at the Eye Opener Invitational. The men finished seventh, while the women finished 10th. Noah Cook led the way for the men’s team with a 19th place finish, while Shauntel Smullen led the women’s team with a 19th place finish as well.

Women’s Golf

  • Last week’s tournament:
    • Smoky Mountain Intercollegiate – 12 of 13  
  • The women’s golf team opened its 2014 fall season with a 12th place finish at the Smoky Mountain Intercollegiate. Angela Luna, Taylor Demby and Mallory Thompkins each earned a top 40 finish, leading the way for the Cobras.
