10^th Anniversary of the Taste of Coker

 

Get your tickets now for the 10^th Anniversary of the Taste of Coker on Monday, Oct. 5 from 6-8 p.m. Tickets are $15 each, $25 for a couple or $40 for a family. Women’s Soccer

• This week’s matches:
  • Saturday at 5:00 p.m. (A) – Mars Hill

• Last week’s matches:
  • Newberry – (L) 4-2
  • Catawba – (W) 1-0 (OT)

• Last week the Cobras went 1-1 with an impressive 1-0 overtime win against Catawba. Anna Vig netted the game winner for the Cobras with just over a minute left in overtime to give Coker the win. This week the women will hit the road to Mars Hill for a South Atlantic Conference match on Saturday.

Men’s Soccer

• This week’s matches:
  • Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. (H) – Barton
  • Saturday at 7:30 p.m. (A) – Mars Hill

• Last week’s matches:
  • Newberry – (W) 2-0
  • Catawba – (L) 3-1

• The Coker men will wrap-up a four-match home stand on Wednesday when they host Barton. The Cobras will then hit the road to Mars Hill for a SAC match on Saturday.   

Women’s Volleyball

• This week’s matches:
  • Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. (A) - Barton
  • Friday at 7:00 p.m. (H) – Queens
  • Saturday at 2:00 p.m. (H) – Catawba

• Last week’s matches:
  • Lincoln Memorial – (L) 3-1
  • Carson-Newman – (L) 3-0
  • Montevallo – (L) 3-0

• The Cobras will conclude their seven-match road swing on Tuesday at Barton. Then they will return home for the first time in nearly a month to take on Queens on Friday night and Catawba on Saturday afternoon.  

Men’s & Women’s Cross Country

• This week’s meet:
  • Saturday at Great American XC Festival in Cary, N.C.  

• Last week’s meet:
  • USC Open – men- 1of 2
  • Wingate Bulldog Invitational – women – 7 of 20

• Last week, the Cobras had two exceptional races. The men won the USC Open and the women placed seventh at the Wingate Bulldog Invitational. This week they will travel to Cary, N.C. to compete in the Great American Cross Country Festival.

Women’s Golf

• This week’s tournaments:
  • None

• Last week’s tournaments:
  • Etowah Intercollegiate – 4 of 8

• The Coker women’s golf team picked up a fourth place finish at the Etowah Intercollegiate last week. Taylor Demby finished in a tie for ninth place with a two-day score of 165 and Bella Harris finished in 12^th place with a 168 tournament score.

Men’s Golf

• Last week’s tournaments:
  • AFLAC/Cougar Invitational - 15 of 16

• The Coker men’s golf team earned a 15^th place finish at the AFLAC/Cougar Invitational last week. Will Bundy finished in a tie for 23^rd place with a tournament score of 217.
