• Austin Akins became Coker wrestling’s first-ever All-American and captured fourth place at the 2016 NCAA DII Wrestling National Championship in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Men’s Volleyball

• This week’s games:
  • Friday at 7:00 p.m. (H) – North Greenville
  • Saturday at 2:00 p.m. (H) – Emmanuel
• Last week’s games:
  • None
• After a week off, the Coker men’s volleyball team will welcome North Greenville and Emmanuel to the DeLoach Center on Friday and Saturday.

Baseball

• This week’s games:
  • Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. (H) – Bluefield State
  • Friday at 3:00 p.m. (H) – Tusculum
  • Saturday at 12:00 p.m. (H) – Tusculum (DH)
• Last week’s games:
  • UNC Pembroke – 6-4 (L)
  • Bluefield State – 9-7 (W)
  • Seton Hill – 26-6 (L), 7-0 (L), 6-4 (L)
• The Cobra baseball team returns home after a five-game road trip last week. They will welcome Bluefield State to town for a mid-week non-conference game on Tuesday and then Tusculum comes to town for a three-game SAC series on Friday and Saturday.

Men’s and Women’s Tennis

• This week’s matches:
  • Saturday at 2:00 p.m. (A) – Brevard
• Last week’s matches:
  • Young Harris – Women – 6-3 (L), Men – 7-2 (W)
  • Lincoln Memorial – Women – 5-4 (L), Men – 6-3 (L)
  • Carson-Newman – Women – 6-3 (W), Men – 7-2 (W)
• The Coker men’s and women’s tennis teams swept Carson-Newman last week and the men picked up win against No. 41 Young Harris. This week the Cobras will hit the road to Brevard for a pair of SAC matches on Saturday.

Softball

• This week’s games:
  • Saturday at 12:00 p.m. (H) – Anderson (DH)
  • Sunday at 2:00 p.m. (H) – Mercyhurst (DH)
• Last week’s games:
  • Limestone – 5-1 (W), 2-1 (L)
  • Augusta – 8-0 (L) – 5 innings, 3-0 (L)
• The Cobra softball team will return home this week. They will host Anderson in its SAC opener on Saturday, followed by a non-conference doubleheader against Mercyhurst on Sunday.   

Men's Lacrosse

• This week’s games:
  • Saturday at 7:00 p.m. (H) – Shorter
• Last week’s games:
  • No. 20 Saint Leo (L) – 13-8
  • Brevard (W) – 12-11 (OT)
• The Coker men's lacrosse team picked up a huge 12-11 overtime victory against SAC foe Brevard last week. This week the Cobras will play host to Shorter University in a non-conference game on Saturday evening.

Men’s and Women’s Track & Field

• This week’s meets:
  • Saturday at 9:30 a.m. (A) – Lenoir-Rhyne Power Box Invitational
• Last week’s meets:
  • Coastal Carolina Invitational
• Last week the Cobras were once again successful. This time at the Coastal Carolina Invitational the men had seven top-10 finishes and the women had 14 top-20 finishes. This week they will hit the road to Hickory, N.C. for the Lenoir-Rhyne Power Box Invitational.

Women's Lacrosse

• This week’s games:
  • Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. (A) – Newberry
• Last week’s games:
  • Truett-McConnell (W) – 16-3
  • Lees-McRae (W) – 17-10
  • Brevard (L) – 13-11
• The Coker women's lacrosse team picked up a pair of wins last week against Truett-McConnell and Lees-McRae. This week the Cobras will travel to Newberry for a SAC game on Wednesday.  

Women's Golf

• This week’s tournaments:
  • Monday – Tuesday at Coker Women’s Invitational at Hartsville, S.C. 
• Last week’s tournaments:
  • None
• This week the Coker women play host to the Hartsville Country Club for the Coker Women’s Invitational Tournament. The Cobras will tee off at 9:18 a.m. on the first tee at HCC on Monday morning.

Men’s Golf

  • Sunday – Monday at Wingate Invitational at Monroe, N.C.
