4th Annual Cobra Club Golf Outing

Have you signed up your team for the 4th Annual Cobra Club Golf Outing? If not, spots are filling up fast. Register online here. The outing will take place at the Hartsville Country Club on Friday, Oct. 10.

2014 Taste of Coker

Get your tickets now for the 2014 Taste of Coker on Monday, Oct. 13 from 6-8 p.m. Tickets are $15 each, $25 for a couple or $40 for a family. If you want to purchase tickets or are interested in cooking at the Taste of Coker, call 843-383-8073 or email mbuchner@coker.edu.

Women’s Soccer

  • This week’s matches:
    • Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. (A) – Wingate
    • Saturday at 4:30 p.m. (H) –Mars Hill
  • Last week’s matches:
    • Mount Olive (L) – 3-0
    • Catawba (L) – 3-0
  • The Cobra women will conclude a three-match road trip on Wednesday when they travel to Wingate. They will then return home on Saturday for their Alumni Weekend match against Mars Hill.

Men’s Soccer

  • This week’s matches:
    • Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. (A) - Wingate
    • Saturday at 7:00 p.m. (H) – Mars Hill
  • Last week’s matches:
    • Catawba (T) – 0-0
  • Last week the Cobra men played Catawba to a 0-0 draw. This week the men will travel to Wingate on Wednesday and then return home for their Alumni Weekend match versus Mars Hill on Saturday.

Women’s Volleyball

  • This week’s matches:
    • Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. (H) – Wingate – Hartsville Young Professional/Chamber of Commerce Night
    • Friday at 7:00 p.m. (H) – Tusculum
    • Saturday at 12:00 p.m. (H) – Mars Hill
  • Last week’s matches:
    • Carson-Newman (L) – 3-0
    • Lincoln Memorial (L) – 3-1
  • The women’s volleyball team will play host to three SAC matches. The first against Wingate on Wednesday, followed by Tusculum on Friday and Mars Hill on Saturday.

Men’s & Women’s Cross Country

  • This week’s meet:
    • Saturday at Royals Challenge Invitational in Charlotte, N.C.
  • Last week’s meet:
    • Great American Cross Country Festival – women – 3 of 17, men – 4 of 18
  • Last week the Cobra cross country teams earned a pair of fourth place finishes at the Great American Cross Country Festival. The women, led by freshman Shauntel Smullen, placed third. Smullen set a Coker 5k record, beating the previous record by nine seconds with a time of 19:23. The men, led by freshman Noah Cook’s seventh place finish, placed fourth overall. This week the Cobras will travel to Charlotte, N.C. to take part in the Royals Challenge Invitational hosted by Queens University of Charlotte.

Men’s Golf

  • This week’s tournament:
    • Monday-Tuesday at Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
  • Last week’s tournament:
    • Aflac/Cougar Invitational – 14 of 17
  • After placing 14th at the Aflac/Cougar Invitational last week, the men travel to Myrtle Beach to take part in the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate at the Sea Trail Golf Club. Last year the Cobras placed fifth at the tournament.

Women’s Golf

  • This week’s tournament:
    • Monday-Tuesday at Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
  • Last week’s tournament:
    • None
  • This week the Cobra women travel along with their male counterparts to the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate at Sea Trail Golf Club. Last year the women picked up a top 15 finish at the tournament.
