Trick or Treat with the Cobras

The Coker College athletic department invites everyone to come "Trick or Treat with the Cobras" on Friday, Oct. 30 at the Harris E. and Louise H. DeLoach Center. Fans are invited to come and Trick or Treat beginning at 6 p.m. and then stay and watch the Cobras play volleyball at 7 p.m. against Lincoln Memorial 

Everyone dressed in costume will receive free admission to the match. In addition to Trick or Treating, there will be a costume contest during the volleyball match. Also on hand will be the South Carolina Ghostbusters to show off their cool Ghostbuster gear and to judge the costume contest.

Women’s Soccer

  • This week’s matches:
    • Saturday at 2:00 p.m. (H) – Carson-Newman
  • Last week’s matches:
    • Lenoir-Rhyne – (L) 2-0
    • Queens – (L) 4-1
  • The Cobra women will play host to the Eagles of Carson-Newman in their final regular season match of the season this week. Coker will honor its seven seniors during their final home match.

Men’s Soccer

  • This week’s matches:
    • Saturday at 4:30 p.m. (H) – Carson-Newman
  • Last week’s matches:
    • Lenoir-Rhyne - (L) 2-0
    • Queens – (L) 5-1
  • This week the Coker men will play their final home match of the season on Saturday against Carson-Newman. The men will also honor their lone senior Ian Fellenz.

Women’s Volleyball

  • This week’s matches:
    • Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. (H) – Wingate
    • Friday at 7:00 p.m. (H) – Lincoln Memorial – Trick or Treat w/the Cobras
    • Saturday at 2:00 p.m. (H) – Carson-Newman
  • Last week’s matches:
    • Brevard – (L) 3-0
    • Lenoir-Rhyne – (L) 3-2
  • The Cobras will take the court for three home matches this week. They will host Wingate, Lincoln Memorial and Carson-Newman.  

Men’s & Women’s Cross Country

  • This week’s meet:
    • None
  • Last week’s meet:
    • SAC Championship – women – 5 of 12, men – 7 of 12
  • Last week, the Cobras had a spectacular race at the SAC Championships. The women placed fifth overall, while the men placed seventh overall. After a week off, the Cobras will return the trail on Nov. 7 for the NCAA Southeast Region meet in Monroe, N.C.  

Wrestling

  • This week’s matches:
    • Sunday at 8:00 a.m. (A) – Citadel Open
  • Last week’s matches:
    • None
  • The Coker wrestling team will return to the mat for their first action of the 2015-16 season at the Citadel Open this week. Last year, three Cobras placed in the top three of their respective weight classes, including Travis Laxton’s championship at the 125-pound weight class.
