2014 Taste of Coker

Get your tickets now for the 2014 Taste of Coker on Monday, Oct. 13 from 6-8 p.m. Tickets are $15 each, $25 for a couple or $40 for a family.

Women’s Soccer

  • This week’s matches:
    • Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. (A) – Chowan
    • Saturday at 4:30 p.m. (A) – Carson-Newman
  • Last week’s matches:
    • Wingate (L) – 5-0
    • Mars Hill (W) – 4-0
  • The Cobra women picked up a huge 4-0 SAC victory over Mars Hill last week. This week the women will hit the road for a pair of matches. They begin on Tuesday at Chowan with a non-conference match and conclude on Saturday at Carson-Newman with a conference match.

Men’s Soccer

  • This week’s matches:
    • Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. (A) – USC Aiken
    • Saturday at 7:00 p.m. (A) – Carson-Newman
  • Last week’s matches:
    • #20 Wingate (T) – 0-0
    • Mars Hill (L) – 3-2 – 2OT
  • Last week the Cobra men played No. 20 Wingate to a 0-0 draw and fell just short against Mars Hill 3-2 in double-OT. This week the men will travel to USC Aiken for a non-conference match, and then they will travel to Carson-Newman for a SAC match on Saturday.

Women’s Volleyball

  • This week’s matches:
    • Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. (A) – Catawba
    • Friday at 7:00 p.m. (A) – Lenoir-Rhyne
    • Saturday at 11:00 p.m. (A) – Brevard
  • Last week’s matches:
    • Wingate (L) – 3-0
    • Tusculum (L) – 3-0
    • Mars Hill (L) – 3-0
  • The women’s volleyball team hits the road for a trio of South Atlantic Conference matches this week. They will open the week at Catawba, followed by a weekend trip to Lenoir-Rhyne and Brevard.  

Men’s & Women’s Cross Country

  • This week’s meet:
    • None
  • Last week’s meet:
    • Royals Challenge – women – 22 of 31, men – 14 of 31
  • The Cobra cross country teams will take a week after competing in the Royals Challenge last week in Charlotte. The women placed 22nd and were led by Shauntel Smullen’s top 25 finish. The men came in 14th behind Noah Cook’s team leading 27:14 time in the 8K race.

Men’s Golf

  • This week’s tournament:
    • None
  • Last week’s tournament:
    • Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate – 14 of 19
  • Last week the Coker men’s golf team finished 14th at the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate. Will Bundy and Jonathan Sundstrom led the way, as each shot six-over par (150) during the two-day event.

Women’s Golf

  • This week’s tournament:
    • Monday-Tuesday at Patsy Rendleman Invitational in Salisbury, N.C.
  • Last week’s tournament:
    • Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate – 7 of 20
  • Last week the Cobra women earned their second consecutive top 10 finish by finishing seventh at the Myrtle Beach Invitational. This week the women will complete the fall portion of their schedule when they travel to Salisbury, N.C. to compete in the Patsy Rendleman Invitational. The ladies have brought home top 15 finishes each of the last three years at the tournament, which is played at the Country Club of Salisbury.
